Create a Bulk Data Retrieval Job

Create a Bulk Data Retrieval Job

POST/jobJSONAuthentication required

Overview

# Overview Create and run asynchronous bulk jobs to retrieve company or contact data using entity IDs or search filters. This API is ideal for large data exports with a file-based CSV output. You can submit up to **10,000 entity IDs** in a single request. The API initiates an asynchronous job and returns a `jobId` to track its status and retrieve results using the Job Status API.

Call the endpoint

Send a POST request to /job with the required authentication and parameters.

Build the request body

Use the JSON shape below and replace example values with your data.

Inspect the response

Use the success response shape to validate the fields your integration receives.

Quickstart

Follow these two steps to make a request and recognize a successful response.

STEP 1

Make a request

REQUEST
curl --request POST \
  --url https://uapi.demandbase.com/data/b2b/v1/job \
  --header "Authorization: Bearer $DB_API_KEY" \
  --header "Content-Type: application/json" \
  --data '{"jobName":"Company Fetch Bulk Job","jobType":"companyFetch","fields":["companyId","name"],"filters":[{"field":"companyId","values":["1","2","3"]}]}'
STEP 2

Read the response

SUCCESS RESPONSE · HTTP 202
{
  "jobName": "Sample Bulk Job 2",
  "jobStatus": "accepted",
  "jobType": "companyFetch",
  "jobId": "3984c704-6c13-40de-bed4-84ba62b7fddd",
  "createdAt": "2025-06-09T20:39:51.431Z"
}
